E-lab Mediastudies, room 0.16 BG 1, Turfdraagsterpad 9, Amsterdam
At the next session of the Digital History Workshop, participants will gain practical, hands-on experience with digital techniques for labelling and annotating media files.
Christian Oleson (UvA) will introduce the participants to the video annotation tool Anvil that he has worked on in the framework of his ongoing PhD research Film History in the Making: Digital Archives and Film Historiography at the University of Amsterdam.
Liliana Melger (Uva) will hold a small presentation on Nvivo, one of the so-called CAQDAS (Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software), including a demonstration of its uses for audiovisual media analysis (video, audio, and images).
The workshop is meant for all humanities researchers. For more information on the workshop series, click here
