The third annual Digital Humanities Day (DHD) will take place on the 28 October 2016 in Groningen. The aim of the DHD is to bring together researchers of various humanities disciplines and offer a platform to discuss ongoing or new research in the field of digital humanities. This year, Patrik Svensson, Professor in the Humanities and Information Technology at Umeå University (Sweden) and former director of the HUMLab, will be the invited speaker.

The Groningen Centre for Digital Humanties invites scholars to submit abstracts for this year’s Digital Humanities Day. We are interested in short presentations that address research topics in a humanities discipline using digital data, methods and tools. Proposals should be written in English and should not exceed one A4-sized page and include title, authors, affiliation and email. The abstracts will be presented as a book of abstracts in electronic format. The deadline for abstracts is the 30rd September 2016 and need to be submitted in PDF-format using the Easychair system: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=dhd2016.
