After the inspiring Creativity and the City conference of last week, we look forward to continuing the conversation in the next Salon on shared research infrastructure. Two topics that will be discussed are:

1. Harmonisation of census data. Use case: building a GIS on cinema markets (CINEMAPS: A Data Driven Investigation of Cinema Markets in the Netherlands and Flanders 1950-1975).

2. Extracting structured data from scans. Use case: Dutch movie listings in Dutch historical newspapers (flimladders).
